Parent Consultations
Support in early childhood
Consultations are offered for parents, caregivers, and teachers of children age 0-8. Consultations are provided via Telehealth. This is a short term service and may include referrals for additional supports if requested (i.e. developmental testing, early intervention, and individual or couples counseling).
Stressful routines, odd behaviors, the various confusing developmental stages…Talking with parents about what’s challenging and hard is my wheelhouse. I’m here for it all!
I work collaboratively with the grown-ups in a child’s life to clarify questions, identify concerns, implement strategies, and equip families and classrooms with the best tools to help young children thrive in the early years of life.
Common parent consultation topics:
Addressing questions about behaviors and development
Troubleshooting ways of responding to “big feelings” and tantrums
Identifying supportive strategies for difficult daily routines
Finding creative solutions for parenting challenges
Collaborative planning to prepare your child for an upcoming change
Gathering resources on early childhood mental health topics
Connecting your family with additional resources as needed
What you can expect from a consultation appointment:
Once you’ve decided to book your consultation, you’ll receive a link to an online portal where you’ll complete an intake packet and schedule your appointment. The intake packet is a chance for you to share the concerns and topics you’d like to discuss and what you hope to gain from your consultations. After your appointment you’ll receive a follow-up email outlining recommendations discussed during our session and any additional information you might find helpful.
